What a Difference a Post Makes

Sheesh what a difference a post makes.I stated in my last blog entry “I know I am gonna come in for some stick for that one” and I wasn’t wrong!
Since making the last blog entry, the proverbial poop hit the proverbial fan, feathers were not so much as ruffled but plucked out by the handful and ….. it was brilliant!

Wow, seems an age since I last opened this page up.I have been on a self imposed sabbatical from poker for the last week. There are various reasons, amongst them is the fact this is a very busy time of year for me, along with a 48hour bug thrown in there somewhere and a need for a little break from the game.

A long-ish blog today, to last you over the week-end. I will be away from Friday until Tuesday.Why? Why? Why?
Why is it, I can not seem to have a night of poker without incident? Either the gods of destiny are just screwing with me, to enable me to have something to write about in here, or that ‘Fickle Finger of Fate’ has somehow got its’ digit irretrievably wedged up my rear end.

Well, ……truth be told I wasn’t “Fully Wide Awake” when the game kicked off in the league game this evening. It was Omaha H-Lo again and I just didn’t fancy playing it. Probably the first game I have not entered when sitting at the computer all ‘poker-ready’ so to speak.
I ain’t played much Omaha before, in fact I only started a couple of weeks ago, when there were no other games around and I just click-joined a league game. Then promptly sailed through to the final table, in complete ignorance of how I ever got there. Pestering the guys in the chat room all the time with, “is this a good hand?”, “what’s a good hand?” or a “how come I won that?” etc…
