The forum
December 17, 2007
I’ve just been and read the blogs regarding the shake up to the league and I feel the need to justify some things and correct others, and to put my thoughts across.
First off, let me say how disappointed I was that my mate Blagger was ’shown the door’. He is a good poker player and is always there for anyone who wants help or tips with their poker game. Most of all he is a friend who I enjoy talking to, no matter the subject. But this whole issue of who stays or goes has nothing to do with me, even though I’m an admin. But I will still keep up with him on skype. Just because he is no longer a member of the forum does not mean to say I will cut all contact with him - admin or not! As I said, he is a friend. This dispute is between the forum owners and Blagz himself. Both parties are, or should, be aware of this. It’s just turned out that I’m playing ‘piggy in the middle’, and believe me, it’s not nice. I’m staying well out of the situation!
That time of year again.. humbug..

Lazy Winter Sundays’ …
It’s what winter Sunday’s are for isn’t it? Lazing around, open newspapers on the lounge coffee table, this morning’s breakfast dishes still piled up in the kitchen. Slopping about in sweats not really dressed, hair un-brushed and still magnificently vertical.
Warm cooking smells coming from the kitchen, some old black & white movie running unwatched on the TV. A pile of clothes washing sitting in the basket by the washing machine, waiting for someone (me) to make the supreme sacrifice of donating 5 minutes of their Sunday afternoon, spent in pushing said clothes into the machine closing the door and hitting the run switch.. hmm.. nope still can’t gather the energy for that one yet.
My arse is somehow magically glued to my computer chair and unless there is a sudden potentially fatal ‘cup-of-tea’ shortage it is going to remain glued until at least.. oh I dunno.. at the earliest dinner time I reckon.
.. Winter Sunday’s rock. :)…. Read more
Changes in the League - continued
December 12, 2007
I was going to comment to the responses in the previous blog but I thought I would start another one so it doesn’t get too deep in comments.
Excellent responses by both Ann Marie (gotmewrong) and Larry (Pinkdog).
I guess we all had and have the same impression when it comes to the League.
It was originally a place to meet people and learn about the game of poker with no cost and no “requirements”.
Learning and teaching was fun. I get just as much enjoyment teaching someone as I do playing the game.
Changes in the League - again
December 6, 2007
Most of you reading this will understand the jist of this blog by the title.
For those of you who don’t, I am a member of the Pokerchipsquad League. I have been a member for gosh, I don’t know, 5 years maybe. The league has made quite a few changes over the years and we are now in the midst of another.
I thought I would make my thoughts on all of this known here instead of in the forum because I am free to say whatever I want since it is my blog. Also, Rich (forum owner) doesn’t want any negative comments made in the forum about the changes. I am not saying I will be negative but I want the freedom to be negative if my thoughts take me there.
